AgBio NZ Cluster
"A cluster is a group of companies within a particular industry who, though they may compete with each other, also work together co-operatively to gain greater business advantage”.
The Waikato Innovation Park, in partnership with James & Wells, coordinates events and activities for AgBio New Zealand – a cluster initiative made up of companies in the agbio, agritech and ag science industries.
AgBio NZ was formed in 2002, with initial support from the Hamilton City Council. The Waikato Innovation Park took over management of the Cluster in 2005 and has kept in close contact with Cluster members, working on several commercial ventures together.
There has been recent interest in developing the social event aspect of the Cluster, as people see value in the networking and knowledge sharing that comes from such activites. With the support of James & Wells as the Cluster’s exclusive partner, we now have a programme of great AgBio NZ events which can be found on our events calender.
The AgBio NZ Cluster is open to anyone within the industry and it is easy to become a member. Simply print an application form , complete and return along with a nominal membership fee. This will provide members with exclusive opportuinties and events and could open doors that may otherwise be closed.
Service firms with a specific interest in the agbio sector are also welcome. Download the service firm application complete and return to Waikato Innovation Park.
